rake pre_commit broken because of change to lib/spec/version.rb
Reported by Matt Patterson | July 15th, 2008 @ 12:26 AM | in No-Milestone-Assigned
Removing BUILD_TIME_UTC from Spec::VERSION has caused running the rspec-rails examples to fail - due to the lookup of Spec::VERSION::BUILD_TIME_UTC in rspec-rails/lib/spec/rails/version.rb.
I presume this is related to the Hoe work, and the change happened in commits http://github.com/dchelimsky/rsp... and http://github.com/dchelimsky/rsp...

Hey Matt - make sure you update both rspec and rspec-rails - we yanked BUILD_TIME_UTC from both at the same time. Sounds like you've updated rspec but not rspec-rails.

Sorry, didn't examine the output from rake git:update well enough - I had an uncommitted change in lib/spec/rails/version.rb (I must have run rake pre_commit from an rspec-dev that was older than its components)
